Recognized
National
Geographic Adventure magazine
has named South Padre Island in
its top 10 nationwide list for

in popularity with about 1,000
tourists from all over the world
visiting the Island specifically
to practice the sport.

around the country; San Juan
Islands, Wa., kayaking; Glen
Canyon/Lake Powell, houseboating
with kayaks; and Crystal River
and Kings Bay, Fla., swimming
