ART CAMP
Parents are invited to register children, ages
10 through 12 who live or attend school in the
78520 zip code in Brownsville, to a free summer
art camp at the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art.
All supplies are furnished and space is limited
to the first 20 who sign up. The camp starts at
9 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. on Monday and is
taught by art instructor Olga Villanueva. For

The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art is located at
230 Neale Drive, Brownsville. The camp is
sponsored by Texas Dept. of Family and
Protective Services.
CHILDREN’S ART CLASSES
The Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, 230 Neale
Drive, offers art classes for children from 10
a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays at the historic
Neale House next door to the museum. This is an
ongoing program that runs through December. The
monthly tuition is $30 plus an annual supply fee
of $25.00.

UTB-TSC EXHIBIT
The paintings of Claudia Garza will are now on
display in the Richardson Gallery of the
University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas
Southmost College. The Brownsville native is
pursuing a master’s degree in interdisciplinary
studies from UTB-TSC.
The gallery is located in the Art Building and
will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday

WEDDING EXHIBITS
The Brownsville Heritage Complex and Costumes of
the Americas Museum are exhibiting historic
wedding attire and pic-tures.
“I Do: Something Old, Borrowed and Blue: An
Exploration of Wedding Folk Traditions and
Customs” is on exhibit at the Heritage Complex
Aiken Education Center until July 30. For more
